The Ohio Watershed Coordinator Grant provides partial funding to employ a full-time Watershed Coordinator in the Sandusky River Watershed to focus time and efforts on building partnerships with agencies, orgainzations and individuals working toward implement-ation of Best Management Practices in areas that hold a State Endorsed Watershed Action Plan (WAP).  The Sandusky River Watershed has two watersheds with endorsed Watershed Action Plans, they include the Honey Creek and Sandusky River - Tiffin.  Best Management Practices are practices that will improve the quality of life and water quality while reducing the impacts of pollutants in the watershed as identified in the WAP.

This is the second watershed coordinator grant the Sandusky River Watershed has held since its inception in 1997.
